The purpose of this standard is to provide an appropriate performance level for components intended for use in water sprinkler systems.
For certain components there are requirements in the standard series SS-EN 12259, but these requirements may need to be specified or supplemented. For other components, other standards or specifications of requirements may be used to specify the appropriate performance level. The objective is that this standard should contribute to water sprinkler systems being designed with components that have the required performance and reliability.
