Regulations stipulate that all self contained motorised transport and construction vehicles must be fitted with safety equipment. The rules refer to fire suppression systems, fire safety regulations for machines as well as other fire safety systems fitted onto for example forest and construction machines and vehicles.
The purpose of the regulations and standards issued by the Swedish Fire Protection Association is to establish quality and safety levels that may be generally applied by parties concerned.
